Vinyl flooring has a choice of inlaid or printed. Inlaid vinyl has actual chips of raw material in various colors that are arranged in a design and then fused together with heat. It is slightly more durable than printed vinyl. Printed vinyl has a wider range of colors and designs since the design is printed on the vinyl and then covered with another layer to protect and enhance the design.

Sweep or vacuum frequently

Do not use soap-based detergents, abrasive cleaners, "mop & shine" products, steam cleaner, scouring powder, or steel wool

Wipe spills with damp cloth and dry

Clean no wax floor with ammonia-based cleaner, vinyl without no wax finish should also be cleaned with ammonia and finished with a protective coating occasionally

Use area rugs or non rubber-backed floor mats in high traffic areas
